My story

I grew up in Katahariya, Rautahat, a Terai town in Madhesh Province where the land is flat and the horizon feels endless. My childhood was paddy planting in the monsoon, mangoes in summer, and Chhath evenings with diyas floating on the water.

My journey into technology began with curiosity about how software works. That curiosity grew into a passion for AI-powered applications and modern full-stack web platforms, and for building things that solve real problems for real people.

Today I study BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence at Sunway College Kathmandu, affiliated with Birmingham City University. I build products like MedSync, which won the Healthcare & Well-being Innovation Award at Sunwayians' Innovation Fest 2026, and Sawari Sathi, a real-time ride-sharing platform.

Growing up in the Terai

Katahariya is a municipality in Rautahat District, Madhesh Province, on the flat southern plains of Nepal near the border with Bihar. The Bagmati and Lalbakaiya rivers run through the district, and life follows the farming seasons.

  • Monsoon

    Planting paddy in knee-deep water, the whole village in the fields.

  • Summer

    Mangoes from the orchard, afternoons under the peepal tree.

  • Autumn

    Chhath at the pond: dusk and dawn offerings to the sun, diyas on the water.

  • Winter

    Yellow mustard fields and thick morning fog over the plains.

About this site

This portfolio walks you through one day in Katahariya, from dawn over the paddy fields to Chhath lamps at the river. The folk-art borders are original drawings inspired by the Mithila and Madhesh painting traditions of the region. Built with MongoDB, Express, React and Node.js.
